ARTIST STATEMENT

Art is my visual language, bringing hope, discovery, compassion, and empowerment to the viewer.

 

PAINTER - First solo show in 1977 at the University of Washington Women’s Cultural Center followed by over 100 group or solo shows.

MEDICAL ARTIST - I have documented over 6500 congenital heart surgeries from life in the operating room, starting in 1979. Illustrations have been published in more than 30 medical books and journals, and have been used in professional and educational presentations locally, nationally and internationally.
